Pose premiered on FX on 3 June 2018 as a drama built around dance and music. It plays out in 1980s New York and puts three separate corners of the city side by side: the ball culture scene, the glossy luxury world of the Trump era, and the downtown crowd of writers and artists. The contrast between them drives the show.
