The Professional is a 1981 action and crime drama from Gaumont. Josselin Beaumont, a French agent, gets sent to kill the leader of Malawi, but France changes its politics before he can finish the job. His own superiors then give him up to the Malawian authorities rather than pull him out, and he ends up on trial and behind bars, though not for long.
