Merrily We Roll Along reached Netflix on 4 December 2025 as a filmed stage production, shot inside a Manhattan playhouse. It captures the Tony-winning 2024 Broadway revival of the musical Sondheim wrote with Furth. Franklin Shepard has left composing and his old friends behind for a film producer's life in Los Angeles, and the story runs in reverse from his peak to the moments that made him.
